Career Opportunities

The LLM programme provides you with the critical skills required by law firms – advanced, specialist legal training and the ability to work in a transnational legal environment. In addition, the courses you will take will make you eligible to apply as a Member of the largest body of accredited arbitrators, i.e. the Chartered Institute of Arbitration. With CPEC projects quickly picking up the speed in Pakistan, Arbitration has become one of the significant fields because all CPEC contracts typically have an Arbitration Clause. Also, the contracts between then multinational companies assume the jurisdiction of the UK and refer the arbitration to the London Court of Arbitration that asks recommendation from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Of course, as a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, you will naturally get a priority to be picked as an Arbitrator for the dispute that has arisen in Pakistan. University of London LLM graduates also regularly find a career in high-level positions, including but not limited to banking, financial services, financial regulation, corporate sector, multinational organisations, in house counsel and corporate consultants.
