Course Description: The remedy is arguably the most important part of any lawsuit. This course trains lawyers on practical areas of what plaintiffs are entitled to when they win a case and what remedies a lawyer should ask the court in different civil actions and why. There are many remedies, including, but not limited to, punitive damages, restitution, unjust enrichment, Specific relief Act remedies, Declaration suit and injunctive relief. While we will consider public remedies in constitutional cases, the majority of the course will focus on remedies in private law civil actions.
