Blackstone School of Law and Business, Lahore, hosted an enchanting winter event titled "Let it Snow". The event aimed to bring together students, faculty, and staff to celebrate the joyous spirit of the winter season and create a festive atmosphere on the campus.

The campus was transformed into a winter wonderland with elaborate decorations, including snowflakes, and twinkling lights. The attention to detail created a magical ambience that captivated attendees from the moment they entered the venue.

The event featured a diverse range of entertainment activities. Live music performances, dance routines, and a talent show showcased the hidden talents of the Blackstone School community. The carefully curated entertainment program added a vibrant and dynamic element to the event, keeping the audience engaged and entertained throughout.

Attendees had the opportunity to engage in various activities. These activities not only added a playful touch to the event but also encouraged teamwork and camaraderie among participants.

A variety of winter treats and refreshments were available, including seasonal delights. These culinary offerings enhanced the overall experience, providing a delicious respite from the winter chill.

Ham Saya Film Screening

"Hum Saya-Neighbor" has been making waves in the film world, and its recent recognition at the Venice Intercultural Film Festival (VIFF), where it won the "Best Short Documentary on Human Rights" award, speaks volumes about its impact.

The film "Ham Saya", screening at Blackstone School Of Law And Business Lahore, was a captivating event showcasing the administration's dedication to promoting meaningful cinema and fostering cultural exchange.

"Ham Saya" is a poignant exploration of the intricacies of human relationships set against the backdrop of a changing society. The film delves into themes of friendship, love, and the human spirit's resilience in the face of adversity.  It is a story of two Pakistani girls, focusing on the urgent issues of girl child kidnapping, forced religious conversion and minor girl marriage cases in Pakistan. The narrative was masterfully woven, and the performances were nothing short of stellar, immersing the audience in the world the filmmakers created.

The screening took place at the main auditorium of the school, a well-appointed space that provided an intimate setting for the audience to engage with the film. The ambience was warm and inviting, with comfortable seating arrangements and excellent audio-visual facilities that ensured an immersive viewing experience.

One of the most remarkable aspects of the event was the diverse audience it attracted. The diversity of the audience added depth to the post-screening conversations, highlighting the film's universal themes.

A panel discussion was held following the screening featuring the film's director, Dawood Akhter. The discussion provided valuable insights into the creative process behind "Ham Saya," shedding light on the challenges faced during production and the artistic choices made to bring the story to life.

ORIENTATION CEREMONY FOR ACCA STUDENTS

The Blackstone School of Law and Business in Lahore organized an orientation ceremony for the newly enrolled ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) students. The event aimed to welcome the students, provide them with essential information about the ACCA program, career opportunities, Blackstone’s vision and mission for the ACCA program, and introduce them to the school's faculty and support staff. The orientation ceremony was held in the school's main auditorium, creating an interactive and engaging environment for the attendees.

The orientation ceremony commenced with a warm welcome address by the school's principal, highlighting the significance of the ACCA program and the opportunities it offers in accountancy and finance. The principal emphasised the importance of dedication, hard work, and continuous learning in becoming successful professionals in the accounting industry.

The school's faculty members then introduced themselves, offering an overview of their respective areas of expertise. They emphasized their commitment to providing quality education and guidance to ACCA students throughout their academic journey and after completing their degrees.

The orientation ceremony offered an engaging experience for the students, allowing them to discover the school's facilities actively. They eagerly explored the campus, including the library, computer labs, and study areas. This hands-on tour excited them and prepared them to use the resources available to support their studies and co-curricular activities.

The event concluded with a delicious lunch and networking session, allowing the students to interact with their peers, faculty members, and the alums present while enjoying their favourite dishes. This facilitated the formation of connections and friendships, creating a supportive community to aid the students throughout their ACCA journey.

CULTURAL DAY ,2023

The Blackstone School of Law, Lahore, witnessed a vibrant display of cultural diversity as it celebrated its annual Cultural Day with zeal and enthusiasm. The event was a tribute to the school's commitment to promoting cultural understanding and unity among its diverse student body.

The day started with a grand opening ceremony on the school's grounds. The atmosphere was electric, with the walls adorned with colourful decorations representing various cultures around the country. The event was graced by legal professionals, faculty members, and esteemed alums of the institution.

The cultural extravaganza unfolded with captivating performances showcasing the rich tapestry of cultures within the Blackstone School of Law And Bussiness community. Students dazzled the audience with traditional dances on the beat of dhol that the faculty exclusively arranged for students, acting as a vibrant reflection of their cultural heritage. It celebrated diversity and served as a powerful reminder of the unity that can be achieved through understanding and respect.

Food was one of the event's highlights: fresh puri from pans and sizzling delights at a live BBQ stall, where skilled chefs expertly grill a delectable array of meats tantalizing taste buds with smoky perfection. And that warm gulab jaman's as sweet were our favourite part of the day.

As the day drew to a close, the faculty thanked all participants, performers, and organizers for their dedicated efforts in making the Cultural Day a resounding success. They emphasized the importance of promoting cultural understanding within the legal profession and encouraged all present to carry forward the spirit of unity and diversity.

MOOT COURT COMPETITION,2023

On the 20th of January, 2023, Blackstone School of Law organized a moot court competition with the collaboration of the National Women Lawyers Society on the topic of domestic violence. It was a three days event dated 20th January to 22nd January. The event aimed to provide a platform for law students to apply their legal knowledge and advocacy skills to address domestic violence issues.

For the panel discussion of the 3rd annual Blackstone moot court competition on domestic violence, we were honoured to have the most respectable Ms Fauzia Viqar,  Barrister Aleena Khurram Khan, Advocate Mohsin Sheikh, Barrister Ramshah Chaudhry and Doctor Ali as our panellists. 

The competition began with the registration of the participating teams. Many teams from different law schools across the country participated in the event. The moot problem focused on a hypothetical case of domestic violence, which required the students to analyze the legal issues and present their arguments before a panel of judges.

The preliminary rounds of the competition were held in the first session, where each team had to argue their case before a panel of judges. The judges comprised experienced lawyers and legal scholars who assessed the students' advocacy skills, legal knowledge, and ability to present their arguments effectively.

After the preliminary rounds, the top teams were selected for the semi-finals, which were held in the second session. The semi-finalists presented their arguments before a larger audience, which included law students, faculty members, and legal practitioners. The arguments put forth by the teams were impressive and reflected their hard work and dedication.

Finally, the top two teams advanced to the finals, which were held in the evening session. The finalists presented their arguments before a distinguished panel of judges, which included sitting judges of the Lahore High Court. The judges asked tough questions, testing the students' legal knowledge and ability to respond under pressure.

The competition concluded with the announcement of the winners. The winner of the competition was Punjab University Law College. And the runners-up were the students from the Foundation College Of Law. 

Overall, the moot court competition on domestic violence was a resounding success. It allowed law students to hone their legal skills and apply them to real-world problems. In addition, the event was a testament to the dedication and hard work of the organizers, judges, and participants. It is hoped that such events will continue to be organized to promote legal education and awareness of social issues. Blackstone School Of Law will always be the pioneer in arranging events like these for their students and society's benefit.

The event ended with a Qawali night that was arranged to celebrate the event's success. The audience was thoroughly engaged and clapped along with the rhythm of the music.

Qawali Night at Blackstone School of Law Lahore was a success. It was an excellent opportunity for students and faculty to connect. The event was well-organized, and the performances were outstanding. Everyone left with a greater appreciation. 


RANGBAAZI 2023

Institutes arrange festivals to celebrate cultural diversity, promote community building, provide opportunities for creative expression, foster a sense of belonging, and promote cross-cultural understanding. We at Blackstone School Of Law ensure that our students have a platform for showcasing talent, promoting unity and peace, and bringing people together to celebrate shared values and traditions.

On March 10, 2023, BSOL organized a colourful Rangbaazi event for its students and staff members. The event was held in the college's outdoor sports ground and was attended by students and our faculty members.

The event began with welcoming the attendees and explaining how Blackstone School Of Law ensures our students have a platform for showcasing talent, promoting unity and peace, and bringing people together to celebrate shared values and traditions.

Powdered colours and water was arranged over the ground to play with throughout the event.

The participants then gathered in the sports ground, playing with colours, dancing to upbeat music, and enjoying the festive atmosphere.

Stalls of different food items were arranged at the venue. As the day progressed, snacks and drinks were served to the attendees. Students and staff members enjoyed it deliciously and savoured it.

Throughout the event, the college management ensured that the celebration was conducted safely and respectfully, with no harm caused to people or property. The attendees were also advised to use natural and eco-friendly colours to minimize the environmental impact.

Hand printing activity was also arranged for everyone in which all the students printed their hand prints in their favorite colours on paper and displayed them.

The Rangbaazi celebration at Blackstone School Of Law College was a colourful and joyful event that brought together students and staff members to celebrate the festival of colours. The college management's efforts to ensure a safe and respectful environment for the celebration were commendable and the event was enjoyed by all who attended.


BSOL DEBATING CHAMPIONSHIP 2023

On Saturday, April 3rd, history was made by the Blackstone School Of Law by arranging a debating competition on Ai and Law debate. Students from various colleges and universities across the city attended the event. The competition was intense and thought-provoking, and the participants showed great passion and skill in presenting their arguments.

Students' enthusiasm at the debating championship was palpable from arrival. The event drew students from all over the region eager to showcase their debate skills and compete against their peers.

The participants displayed a high level of enthusiasm as they passionately argued their points, engaged in rebuttals, and made counterarguments. The students' confidence made for a highly competitive event that all participants enjoyed.

The judges, renowned debaters from the debating circle of Pakistan, adjudicated the participants based on their argumentation, rebuttals, and overall performance. It was a two-day event, and the audience was highly engaged throughout the competition.

The most remarkable aspect of the event was that ChatGPT generated all debate motions. This powerful language model uses advanced machine-learning techniques to generate human-like responses to text prompts. This game-changing move highlighted the potential for AI to play a more notable role in shaping the legal profession's future.

The participants delved into critical topics, such as the role of AI in legal decision-making, the ethical concerns of using AI to determine guilt or innocence, addressing bias and discrimination in AI systems like ChatGPT, and comparing the consistency and objectivity of AI versus human decision-making.

The event illustrates the power of AI-human collaboration and the importance of exploring these complex issues in a thoughtful and open-minded manner. By bringing together talented individuals from across the country, the event provided a platform for insightful contributions and helped to inspire deep reflection on the future of law and technology.

On the second day of the competition, a workshop by expert panellists was held for students to help them introduce the basics of debating and its importance, followed by tips for structuring logical and persuasive arguments, effective communication, research and analysis, different debate formats, and winning strategies. It also covers handling difficult situations, using persuasion techniques, preparing for complex motions, ethical behaviour in debating, and common logical fallacies to avoid.

Overall, the #AIandLawDebate hosted by the Blackstone School of Law & Business in Pakistan was a significant step forward in exploring the potential of AI in the legal profession.

HALLOWEEN ‘2022

Hey folks, gather around because I've got some spooktacular news for you! Last year, on the eerie eve of October 31, Blackstone School of Law and Business threw the most epic Halloween party. Picture this: a bunch of future lawyers and legal wizards letting loose, donning wild costumes, and celebrating Halloween like there's no tomorrow. It was a night to remember!

As the clock struck 6 PM, the college grounds transformed into a haunted wonderland. The event organizers went all out, decking the place with cobwebs, skeletons, and glowing pumpkins. You couldn't step without encountering a ghoul or a zombie lurking in the shadows. Trust me; you had to keep your wits about you to avoid any frightful surprises!

The attendees certainly didn't disappoint when it came to costumes. Every corner of the party was filled with imaginative outfits, from wicked witches to dashing vampires. The creativity and attention to detail were astonishing. It was like being on a horror show set but with better music and no danger. The DJ blasted spine-chilling tunes, blending the classics like "Thriller" with modern hits. The atmosphere was electrifying.

Throughout the night, there were various exciting activities and games for everyone to enjoy. A costume contest was undoubtedly one of the highlights, with prizes for the most bone-chilling, creative, and funniest costumes. The competition was fierce. Attendees had put much effort into their outfits, and the judges had difficulty deciding the winners.

Food and drinks were aplenty, and the organizers had included Halloween-themed treats. The culinary delights added spooky charm to the festivities. It was the perfect way to satisfy the hungry party monsters.

The party climaxed as the night grew darker and the moon hung high in the sky. Laughter, music, and the clinking of glasses filled the air. The Halloween spirit was palpable, and everyone let loose, forgetting the demands of law studies for a night of pure fun and revelry.

All in all, the Halloween party was a smash hit. It brought together students, faculty, and staff for an unforgettable night of costumes, dancing, and frightful delights. It was a chance for everyone to unleash their inner Halloween fanatic and indulge in spooky madness. The event will be remembered as one of the highlights of the college's social calendar, and we can't wait to see what they have in store for us this year!

MOCK TRIAL ‘22

The Blackstone School of Law in Pakistan recently organized a highly anticipated mock trial event. This event aimed to provide law students with a practical experience of courtroom proceedings and enhance their advocacy skills. Blackstone School of Law and Business takes pride in introducing the concept of Mock Trial, which was conducted for the first time in a Pakistani law school. The Mock Trial was held under Mohsin Sheikh, Director of the Law Clinic.

The mock trial event commenced with an opening address by the school's former dean, highlighting the significance of practical learning in the legal profession. The trial was based on a real case registered U/S 364 (kidnapping or abducting to murder) PPC initially, but consequently, Section 201(Causing disappearance of evidence), 302(Murder) and 34 (Common Intention) were added. The participants, students from different semesters, were divided into two teams: the prosecution and the defence.25 students participated in the event, among which 15 were witnesses, 5 on the prosecution team's side and 5 on the Defense team's Side.

The school's auditorium was transformed into a fully functional courtroom with a judge's bench, witness stand, and seating arrangements for the legal counsels and the audience. The courtroom ambiance, including the presence of legal professionals in their lawyer's uniform, created a realistic atmosphere for the mock trial.

The participants displayed exceptional professionalism and enthusiasm throughout the event. Each team consisted of a mix of aspiring lawyers. The prosecution team meticulously presented their case, providing evidence and witness testimonies to support their argument. Conversely, the defence team skillfully cross-examined witnesses. The Prosecution team won the case!

The success of the mock trial can be attributed to the unwavering support and guidance provided by the school's faculty members. The professors and experienced legal practitioners supervised the proceedings, offering valuable feedback and insights to the participants. Their expertise and dedication significantly contributed to the learning experience and helped students better understand trial procedures.

The event attracted the audience, including students, faculty, and legal community members. Spectators had the opportunity to observe the trial proceedings, gaining insight into courtroom dynamics and legal strategies. The audience's engagement was evident through their active participation in the post-trial discussions and their thoughtful questions directed at the participants.

The mock trial event was an outstanding educational experience. It gave students a practical understanding of courtroom procedures and allowed them to apply their legal knowledge in a simulated trial setting. The event's success can be attributed to the participants' dedication, the faculty members' guidance, and the audience's enthusiastic engagement. These initiatives play a crucial role in shaping the future legal professionals of Pakistan.


BARRISTER’S BALL 2022

The Barrister's Ball was an eagerly anticipated event at the Blackstone School of Law. The Law Student Association organised the ball for a memorable evening for law students, faculty, and esteemed guests.

The school's main auditorium had a sophisticated and elegant ambience during the event. The venue was beautifully decorated with sparkling lights, luxurious draperies, and tasteful floral arrangements, creating an atmosphere of glamour and refinement.

As the guests arrived, they were greeted by the honourable dean. The dress code for the evening was formal, so everyone showcased their impeccable style, which added to the event's allure.

The evening started with a reception where guests socialized and had lively conversations. It provided an excellent opportunity for students to interact with their professors, legal professionals, and alums, fostering connections and networking in a relaxed setting.

A highlight of the evening was the keynote speech delivered by a distinguished legal practitioner, who shared their insights and experiences in the legal field. Their words inspired and motivated the law students, reminding them of the importance of dedication, professionalism, and ethics in their future careers.

A delicious meal was prepared meticulously by renowned chefs. The food was deliciously devoured, leaving the guests fully satisfied.

The campus was filled with laughter, joy, and camaraderie as students, faculty, and guests celebrated the success and achievement of legal professionals and barristers.

Overall, the Barrister's Ball at Blackstone School of Law in 2022 was a great success. It gave all attendees an enchanting and memorable experience, combining elegance, networking opportunities, inspiring speeches, and delightful entertainment. In addition, the event undoubtedly strengthened the bonds within the law school community and left a lasting impression on all those who participated.


NWLS Event 2022

The National Women Lawyers Society (NWLS) organized its Annual meet and greet event. It also included a panel discussion on Gender-Based Violence & What Actions Are Needed to Curb It on October 15, 2022, at the Blackstone School of Law Lahore. The event was attended by lawyers, law students, activists, and members of civil society from all over the country.

The event began with a panel discussion moderated by Ms Amna Adnan, highlighting the significance of addressing gender-based violence and its impact on women's lives. The speaker emphasized the need for a holistic approach towards ending gender-based violence, which involves managing the root causes and providing comprehensive support to survivors.

Advocate Sabahat Rizvi shared her experience working with survivors of gender-based violence. She talked about survivors' challenges in accessing justice and the importance of legal reforms to ensure their protection. She also stressed the need for awareness campaigns to change social attitudes towards gender-based violence and promote gender equality.

Barrister Ambreen Qureshi discussed the psychological effects of gender-based violence on survivors. She highlighted the long-term impact of trauma on survivors and the need for psychological support and counselling services. She also emphasized the importance of addressing the root causes of gender-based violence, including patriarchy and gender inequality.

Barrister Hamna Zain discussed the legal framework for addressing gender-based violence in Pakistan. She highlighted the gaps in the existing laws and policies and the need for comprehensive legal reforms. She also stressed the importance of effectively implementing rules and guidelines to ensure access to justice for survivors.

After the presentations, there was a panel discussion with the esteemed panellists consisting of Barrister Ambreen Qureshi, Advocate Sabahat Rizvi and Barrister Hamna Zain, where they answered questions from the audience. The discussion focused on the role of different stakeholders, including the government, civil society, and media, in ending gender-based violence.

The NWLS President, Ms Ujala Akram, concluded the event and urged the participants to take concrete actions to end gender-based violence. She emphasized the need for collective efforts towards ending gender-based violence, including advocacy, awareness-raising, and support for survivors. A networking lunch followed the event.

Lawyer Awards were presented by Ms Ujala Akram, President of the National Women Lawyers Society (NWLS). Esteemed lawyers like Ms Shazia Tasleem, Vice President of Sindh High Court Bar Association, Ms Sabahat Rizvi, Secretary of Lahore High Court Bar Association, Barrister Hamna Shah, Barrister Ambreen. 

The NWLS event on Gender-Based Violence & What Actions Are Needed to Curb, arranged by Blackstone School Of Law, was a timely and important initiative to raise awareness and promote action towards ending gender-based violence. The event provided a platform for dialogue and discussion and highlighted the need for a holistic approach to ending gender-based violence.


SIMON ASKEY VISIT THE BLACKSTONE SCHOOL OF LAW

Blackstone School of Law Lahore hosted Simon Askey, a renowned legal scholar and author, also the Dean of the Undergraduate Laws Programmes at the University of London.

He was accompanied by Mr Saad Wasim, the Regional Advisor South Asia, University of London International Programmes. The School's administration organized the event to allow students to interact with a distinguished academician and gain insights into the legal profession.

The event was held in the main auditorium of Blackstone School Of Law and was attended by law students, faculty members, and legal professionals. The event began with a warm welcome from the School's Dean, who introduced Simon Askey and highlighted his contributions to the field of law.

Simon Askey delivered a keynote address on "The Future of Legal Education: Challenges and Opportunities." He spoke about the importance of legal education and the challenges law schools face in adapting to the changing needs of the legal profession. He also shared his views on the impact of technology on the legal industry and how it will shape the future of legal education.

After his address, Simon Askey engaged in a lively Q&A session with the audience. The students were particularly interested in his thoughts on the impact of artificial intelligence on the legal profession and how law schools can better prepare their students to adapt to the changing landscape of the legal industry.

The Dean surmised the event and thanked Simon Askey for sharing his insights and experiences with students. The students were also encouraged to network with Simon Askey and other legal professionals who attended the event. Finally, he distributed the faculty awards among faculty members. Based on students’ votes, the “Best Teacher” award was given to Advocate Usama Malik; the “Best Mentor” award was awarded to Barrister Ahmad Mohsin; the “Best Academic Results” award was awarded to Barrister Mian Waleed Ashraf; the “High-efficiency award” was given to Advocate Mohsin Sheikh; the prize for “Creativity in Teaching” was presented to Barrister Hamza Najeeb, the award for “Excellence In Knowledge” was given to Barrister Mohsin Ghazi, a special award of “Never Misses A Class” was delivered to Barrister Mian Waleed Ashraf. Lastly, the award for the “Funniest Faculty Member” was given to Barrister Taha Salick. 

Overall, the visit of Simon Askey was a huge success and provided an excellent opportunity for the students to gain valuable insights into the legal profession. The event was well-organized, and the students appreciated interacting with a distinguished academician like Simon Askey.


TRIP TO KHUNJERAB PASS 2022

On the 15th of July 2022, Blackstone School of Law organized a trip with the collaboration of students to Khunjerab Pass, located in the northernmost part of Pakistan, on the border with China. The trip aimed to provide students with an opportunity to explore the beautiful mountainous terrain of Pakistan.

The students, accompanied by a few faculty members, set off on the journey early in the morning, travelling by bus. The trip was long and arduous, with the roads winding through the mountain ranges, but the students were excited and energised, eager to reach their destination. After several hours of driving, the group arrived at their first stop, the ancient city of Gilgit.

The group then resumed their journey, passing through breathtaking landscapes of towering mountains, pristine lakes and roaring rivers until they finally reached their destination, the Khunjerab Pass. At an altitude of 4,693 meters (15,397 feet), the Khunjerab Pass is one of the highest paved border crossings in the world, providing a gateway between Pakistan and China.

At the pass, the group was greeted by stunning views of the snow-capped peaks and glaciers and the colourful flags and banners of Pakistan and China fluttering in the wind. The students were given a guided tour of the pass, including the historic Silk Road, which was once a vital trade route between the two countries.

The trip concluded with a debriefing session, where the students shared their experiences and insights. The faculty members commended the students for their enthusiasm and engagement throughout the journey and encouraged them to continue exploring Pakistan.

Our student body exhibited passion, mindfulness, and unity during the trip. The trip successfully reinstated the importance of maintaining work, academic goals, and personal life balance. The journey to Khunjerab Pass was a resounding success, providing students with a unique opportunity to experience the natural beauty of Pakistan and learn about their beloved country. It was a memorable and transformative experience.

On July 1st, 2022, the Blackstone School of Law and Business Lahore celebrated its annual convocation ceremony, marking the graduation of its class of 2022. The ceremony was held in the main auditorium, and it was a momentous occasion for the graduating students, faculty members, distinguished guests, and family members who attended the event.

The ceremony began with an academic procession of the faculty members, followed by the graduating students led by the Dean. The Dean gave a welcome speech, congratulating the graduating class for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to the study of law. He also acknowledged the sacrifices the family members and loved ones made to support the students throughout their academic journey.

The distinguished Blackstone School of Law alumni delivered the keynote address, now successful lawyers and partners at a prominent law firm. In the speech, the speaker spoke about the importance of resilience, determination and adaptability in the legal profession. They also shared their experiences as law students and encouraged the graduates to embrace the challenges and pursue learning throughout their careers.

After the awards ceremony, the graduates were called up individually to receive their degrees and certificates. As each graduate walked across the stage, the audience cheered and applauded as family members and loved ones celebrated this vital moment.

The ceremony concluded with a closing speech by the Dean, who congratulated the graduates and urged them to use their legal education to impact society positively. The ceremony was held at the main auditorium of Blackstone School Of Law, elegantly decorated with white and blue balloons, floral arrangements, and the school's emblem prominently displayed on the stage.

The Founders of Blackstone School of Law & Business, Ms Ujala Akram, President, and Mr Irfan Mahmood, CEO, also honoured the occasion, met with the graduates and their parents, and congratulated them.

The convocation began with the academic procession, led by the school's faculty members, followed by the graduating students. Then, the respectable faculty welcomed the guests and graduates to the event. In addition, the convocation ceremony had the presence of notable dignitaries.

Our respectable guest delivered the convocation address, congratulated the students on their achievements and motivated them to pursue legal knowledge and excellence. Robes and caps were presented to the graduating students. Then, each student walked across the stage to receive their degree while their names were called out, and the audience erupted in applause to congratulate them on their success.

After the graduation ceremony, the school's principal gave a speech congratulating the graduates and encouraging them to use their legal education to make a positive difference in society. He emphasized the importance of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct in the legal profession and urged the students to uphold these values in their future careers.

BLACKSTONE’S FIRST SPORTS FEST 2022

Blackstone School of Law in Lahore successfully hosted its inaugural Sportsfest on February 4th, 2022, which consisted of 3 days. The Blackstone Sports Club organized the event to promote physical fitness and sportsmanship among the students, faculty, and staff.

The Sportsfest featured various athletic competitions and recreational activities, creating an exciting and energetic atmosphere throughout the day. Participants actively engaged in multiple sports, including cricket, football, basketball, badminton, and table tennis.

The event started with an opening ceremony, where an inspiring speech was delivered emphasizing the importance of sports in holistic education. He highlighted how sports foster physical well-being and instil valuable life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and resilience.

Cricket, being a favourite sport in the region, drew considerable attention. The cricket tournament saw enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members. The matches were fiercely contested, showcasing exceptional talent and sportsmanship. The final game was intense, and the winning team received a trophy and certificates.

Football and basketball matches were also a major highlight of the Sportsfest. The dynamic teams displayed remarkable skills and determination, creating a captivating atmosphere for the spectators. In addition, the players exhibited excellent teamwork and strategic play and showcased their passion for the game.

In addition to team sports, individual competitions like badminton and table tennis allowed participants to demonstrate their agility and precision. These events witnessed intense rivalries, pushing the competitors to showcase their best performances.

The Sportsfest also featured friendly matches and recreational activities for non-competitive participants to ensure inclusivity. This allowed everyone to actively engage in physical activities, fostering camaraderie and encouraging a healthy lifestyle.
