About the Law Clinic
In the Law Clinic at Blackstone, our law students represent real clients on real cases under the direct supervisions of highly qualified barristers and lawyers. Blackstone Law Clinic is supervised by Barrister Ambreen Qureshi, Director of Law Clinic, one of the most prominent human rights lawyer in Pakistan, to provide justice to those for whom it is inaccessible.
Students work with and represented real clients on real cases. They learn a variety of practical skills, from case law research to drafting all types of legal documents, from interviewing clients to preparing argument note and arguments in the court. The Law Clinic team takes difficult pro-bono cases in addition to various other cases to get justice to those for whom justice is inaccessible. We solve real problems while teaching our students how to become a polished lawyer with advanced competencies. Our 21st century classroom curriculum gets students started on “thinking like a lawyer,” and in the clinic, they start working like a lawyer. And that's exactly how law students are meant to be taught!
LLB (HONS) - UNIVERSITY OF LONDON
LLB (Hons) from University of London is a Qualifying Law Degree which means our graduates are directly eligible to undertake the vocational stage to become a Barrister with the Bar of England & Wales. After the University of London LLB (Hons), our students complete a 9 month Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) at one of the top ranking universities in the UK or take 9 month Bar Transfer Course at Blackstone School of Law (Lahore campus or online). After successful completion of their exams, they become entitled to the title of “Barrister”. Please note: The local Pakistani 5-year LLB is NOT a Qualifying Law Degree. The graduates of local Pakistani LLB are not eligible to undertake Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) in the UK to become a Barrister. Whereas, the University of London LLB (Hons) makes the candidates directly eligible to undertake BPTC to become a Barrister.
